Cobb Mechanical Contractors has been active in providing safe working conditions for our jobsites and our shops for over twenty years. In 1991, our Safety Program was implemented. It continues to be monitored by Bobby Robbins, Safety Director. Monthly safety audits are conducted on each jobsite. Periodic training is also provided in areas such as competent person training, CPR and first aid, trenching and excavation, fall protection and confined space. Weekly safety meetings are held at each jobsite and in each shop to review a different topic. These meetings are designed to heighten each employee’s awareness of activities that will be performed during the week. With our concern for the safe working environment for our employees, each year since the inception of our Safety Program has produced an improved EMR rating for our company. Bobby D. Robbins has 38 years construction experience. 14 years direct safety experience in construction and micro-electronic industries. 15 years combined. University of Arkansas at Monticello, Arkansas Tech University, Pikes Peak Community College. Member-American Society of Safety Engineers, Past President-1995. Current Professional Development Committee Co-Chair since 1996. |
