CU Academic Office West . Boulder, CO

The Academic Office West Project at the University of Colorado Health Science Center consists of a 205,000 SF, 8 story educational office building.  The structural system is comprised of a steel frame with composite concrete floor structure.  The building envelope consists of brick veneer, aluminum curtainwall and metal panel systems.  The building features three – two story atrium main corridors with panoramic views of the UCHSC Campus, a dramatic two story boardroom, along with numerous conference rooms with advanced audio-visual technology.  The HVAC system is accomplished by a complex and efficient built-up air handling system located in a penthouse on the roof of the building and is served by the campus chilled water and steam systems.  The built-up air handling system serves variable air volume boxes with hot water re-heat coils on every level, and the IT/Computer Rooms are cooled by utilizing chilled water fan coil units.
