The Grand Hyatt San Antonio is a striking 1003-room, 37-story luxury hotel in the bustling heart of The Alamo City, adjacent to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and the famed San Antonio Riverwalk. The contemporary hotel is a stunning addition to the city's skyline, offering a combination of facilities, services and amenities along with 10 stories of luxury condominiums for the ultimate in downtown suburban living above the hotel.

The 1.5 million square-foot Grand Hyatt San Antonio features a sleek, glass dominated design, with more than 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, capable of accommodating up to 3,600 guests, while there are 147 Cond miniums on the upper floors. The facility boasts a 32,000 square foot main ballroom, a 21,000 square-foot junior ballroom and 29 breakout rooms.

Mechanically, the building was feed off of the City of San Antonio chilled water and steam loops for cooling and heating of the building. The Building consists of 29 Air Handling Units, 4 Rooftop Units and over 1200 Fan Coil Units pushing over 1,445,000 cubic feet per minute of air thru the building.
The hotel opened in time to play host to many of the participants and attendees at the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, "The Final Four", which was played in San Antonio in April 2008, which was quite a construction feet given the compressed schedule.
