Plaza of the Rockies. Colorado Springs, CO

Nor’wood Development hired Cobb Mechanical to work directly with Y.O.W. Architects and GE Johnson, general contractor, on the Plaza of the Rockies project. This consisted of a south tower 13-story office building with parking garage, totaling 375,000 square feet.

PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS
The mechanical portion of the project included a central built-up air handling system, three 100HP vane axial supply fans, three return air fans, 100% outside air economizer, two 300 ton water-cooled chillers, two cell-cooling towers, a flat-plate heat exchanger and supply/exhaust fan sequencing for a complete smoke control system. There were waste/vent and dome4stic water plumbing systems for public restrooms on each floor.
